One Week!

May 22, 2010

A week from today we will be seeing all of your lovely faces and we couldn’t be more excited!

On Thursday evening, all the ladies are invited to join in on some bridal shower/bachelorette shenanigans at the Atlas Bar in downtown Iowa City at 7pm.

On that same evening, all the men are invited to a Bachelor’s BBQ at 719 Eastmoor Drive in Iowa City.

Directions!

May 20, 2010

Heading west on I-80, take exit #220 for Williamsburg.

Turn right onto P ave, resist the urge to stop at the outlet mall, and stay on that road for 4.2 miles.

The winery is on the left, across from the First Lutheran Church.

If you will be in town the morning of Friday, May 28th and would like to play 18 holes of golf, please email Mike to reserve a spot: slezak.michael@gmail.com.

Dan and Kath Raymond wed in 1973 (love that dress!).  Anyone else seriously diggin’ that purple collar Mike’s dad is sporting in the back row? careful, that could poke a kid’s eye out.

“Just remember you don’t really care that much anyway about the pomp and circumstance, no matter what, everyone loves you guys and if we had to watch you get married in the middle of a rain storm, with rats floating in puddles we’d still be touched and moved and all that good stuff. Yes, I said rats. And I f*cking meant it. THAT’S how much we love you.” – Lauren (a very special “notabridesmaidbecausewe’renotdoingthatsortofthing” bridesmaid)

Mike and I are blessed with some of the very best friends on this good earth. I’m celebrating THAT today.

If you’ve made a reservation at the Heartland Inn, please give them a call to confirm your room. Their hard drive crashed.

Hey gang! Welcome back to the good ol’ bloggie blog. You’re likely here because you just checked your mailbox and found….an INVITE! Yes, it’s finally “official” official. And yes, you must finally confirm your attendance via the handy dandy RSVP postcard enclosed with your invite.

Of course, AFTER printing the RSVP cards, we noticed things. Things like: where do you put your name? Where do you put how many people are attending? So, please – put this information anywhere on the rsvp card you’d like. We’ve also written the name of you or your “party representative” on the card so we’ll know it’s you – but how many of your party plan on attending shall remain a mystery unless you tell us! on the card! With a number!

Now, who said invitations weren’t fun?!

Keep checking this blog as we’ll be updating it WEEKLY! For reals. Much more information to come!  xoxo
